Entitled nga ba? Ito ang sigaw ng mga netizens sa babaeng ito na nagpost tungkol sa pasahod ng ibang kompanya.
Since November 2018, the standard minimum wage in Metro Manila is Php537 per day. This is the standard for every employee, regardless of educational attainment, age, skills, or experience. Unfortunately, many employees in Metro Manila are yet to experience this.
One netizen took to social media to express her frustrations regarding this matter. On Facebook, Crissa Nulud wrote: "Employers: please stop asking for Bachelor's degrees if you're only offering 450/day."
Based on her Facebook post, it seems like Crissa was seeking for a job, only to be disappointed with the less-than minimum pay. And as expected, Crissa's sentiments immediately garnered mixed reactions from the netizens.
For many, she is an entitled millenial who expects too much. Some netizens even speculated that she must be a fresh graduate who already wants to take on a managerial position at her first job experience.
However, in a follow-up post, Crissa defended herself by saying that she has already graduated from college way back in 2013. In addition to that, she was only expressing her frustrations to employers who are not implementing the minimum wage.
On the other hand, there are also others who agreed with Crissa's point of view. Indeed, with the continuously rising inflation, it is just fair for the employees to receive minimum wage. Hopefully, these companies who refuse to follow the law will be reprimanded and finally raise their employees' salaries.
